Meetings– usually held monthly (except June, July, August and December). Meetings generally feature lectures, slide presentations, demonstrations, or hands-on creative techniques. Meetings (except where noted) are held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2964 Richmond Road, Victoria BC

Workshops conducted by local and international teachers are offered, as well as, continuing classes for more intensive study. Arts related to calligraphy, such as bookbinding, artistic paper treatments, papermaking, and more, are also explored in our classes.

It is really a flag book and folds down to fit into a little box. It’s easy and fun.
Participants need to bring: scissors, bone folder, scoring tool, ruler, scrap paper for
gluing and either a glue stick or PVA and a brush.
You must sign up for this workshop because Mary will cut out and prepare the pieces

Come have fun and spend two hours working on your lettering – practice a lettering style, try out or play with a new tool, finish or work on a project, look for feedback on how to make a creative piece even better…whatever.
There will be no structured teaching, but plenty of people with different experience to offer their help. Bring something you want to show, share or work on. If you don’t know what you want to do, bring practice paper, calligraphy pen(s) of your choice, a ruler, pencil, ink, eraser and sense of creative community. We look forward to seeing you – come join us!
